Volunteers of the Month: Dobbs Ferry couple counters cynicism with action

During the Broadway Training Center’s (BTC) winter gala at the Irvington Theater on Jan. 4, BTC alumna Becca Baron summed up what motivates her parents, Tracy and Rob Baron of Dobbs Ferry, who were honored that evening.

“My parents have shown me that the antidote to cynicism is action,” she told the crowd, “and in their generosity toward BTC, and their work all over Westchester, they’ve shown me that the best way to heal a hurting world is to try to help your small corner of it.” 

Tracy and Rob Baron moved to Dobbs Ferry in 1998, and raised their two children — Noah, 27, and Becca, 23 — in the village.
