Synth + Shakespeare = Dream State

HASTINGS — There may or may not be a plush pigeon toy involved in “Dream State” — a one-of-a-kind and one-night-only performance at the River’s Edge Theatre Company in Hastings on the evening of Saturday, July 6.

The pigeon was part of a recent rehearsal. So was a Barbie and a pinwheel. The items represented subjects that could show up in dreams, according Meghan Covington of Ardsley, the artistic director of River’s Edge who conceived the idea for “Dream State.”

To turn “Dream State” into reality, Covington is collaborating with composer Jon Hatch of Dobbs Ferry as well as actors Sweta Keswani of Tarrytown, Traci Redmond of Dobbs Ferry, and Julia Schonberg of Tarrytown.
