Lyndhurst plays a part during Wilde’s elaborate comedy

 The Lyndhurst Mansion’s resident theater troupe, M&M Performing Arts Company, will open 2025 with a month-long run of Oscar Wilde’s 1895 comedy “An Ideal Husband,” starting Feb. 28.

The production returns Jay Gould’s former country home to its Gilded Age roots as the scene of the story about blackmail and deceit involving Sir Robert Chiltern, a member of the British Parliament, and his wife, Lady Gertrude Chiltern.
