About Us
The Rivertowns Dispatch was founded in 2024 to bring back local news to the Rivertowns and to experiment with sustainable models for local news.
We believe that centering a community around facts and information makes for stronger bonds and more productive connections.
We believe that a local newspaper should reflect the voices of our community. It’s not just a broadcast out, it's a two-way conversation.
We believe that newspapers can be fun. We’ll be playing with imagery, data visualization and design to make the Rivertowns come alive on the page.
We believe that there is value in creating community at a hyper-local level. This value benefits residents, businesses, and municipalities.
